New York—Ideal Diamond Solutions (IDS) President Larry Chasin will host a Webinar on July 23 to demonstrate how integrating a Web presence into the traditional business model is critical to a retailer's success, as jewelry and diamond e-commerce grows.

In the Webinar, to be held at 1 p.m., Chasin will explain how retailers need to minimize e-commerce start-up costs, manage new Web operations in a cost-efficient manner and adopt a hybrid business model that incorporates the Internet into the overall retail strategy.

Retailers will consequently need to think about their businesses in new ways, including the marketing of their businesses online and creating new sales approaches in-store to integrate the new online part of the operation.

IDEX Online CEO Abraham Stern, Natural Color Diamond Association Executive Director Robert May and Jewelers Resource Bureau President Cindy Edelstein will join Chasin in the discussion.

Participants will be allowed to ask questions via e-mail during the Webinar and get responses during the course of the program.
